OS MUIÑOS DO FOLÓN E O PICÓN

Os Muiños do Folón e do Picón are old water mills. People built them in the 18th century. They built them in cascade to share the water stream. In the past, people used them to mill grain to make flour. That was very important for the people to eat and for the local economy. There are more than 60 mills!

Os Muiños are in O Rosal, in Pontevedra. There is a hiking route that you can do. It´s about three kilometres long. Along the way you can see many different plants and animals and there are also water streams and ponds.

TRIP ADVISOR REVIEW

Last Sunday I went to Muiños do Folón e Picón with my family. It´s a really beautiful place and we enjoyed the walk a lot.

We went there early morning and started walking about ten o ´clock. It took us an hour and a half to reach the top. Once there, we had a snack. On the way down, we found a stream and a natural pool. We wanted to swim but the water was too cold. We came back to the starting point about two o´clock.

I recommend to visit this place because is really beautiful and easy to walk. It combines nature and culture and everybody can find something that they like.
